Vaelnzuela manteri micropterous - Valenzuela manteri - female

Vaelnzuela manteri micropterous - Valenzuela manteri - Female
San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, USA
February 20, 2015
Size: ~ 2.3 mm
This is the micropterous female. This morph was not mentioned in Sommerman's paper but Mockford commented: "Sommerman's material when she described the species was all from further north, so she missed that form." I found these in the same habitat as the macropterous form. Here in Texas, the micropterous form predominates.
