Got it. It took me a while but...
this one is Lachesilla pacifica Chapman 1930, male. It's in the Pedicularia group. I had fun keying this one out. Tomorrow I'll work on the other 2 specimens.

Thanks Diane
It is exciting to see this get to species. I wish I had better shots of the nymph!

Got the specimens
This species is new to me! I'm going to make some sketches of the genitalia and send them to Dr. Mockford. I can't wait to figure out what this one is.

Super!
Glad they made it and I am excited to see what it might be. Do you know if all three were the same or if the second two were different?

The other two are Ectopsocus
Dr. Mockford could probably tell them from the images but I may have to do a dissection to ID them. Character building. It would be nice to see the female of Lachesilla pacifica. Think you could find one???

Thanks Diane
I'll post pics of the Ectopscocus soon. I think only two species have been recorded in that genus from BC (E. briggsi and E. californicus).
I can try and find a female Lachesilla pacifica. Who knows what else I might find in the process!

This one is Lachesilla
do you still have the specimen? If so, please send it in alcohol and I'll see if I can ID it to species.
