Can't tell if this is Dendroides canadensis or D. cyanipennis. Any help would be much-appreciated.
attracted to lights at night

never heard of cyanipennis...
if such a species exists, it's certainly doesn't occur in Canada... or the US, for that matter
oh! i see now... it's quite technical, but D. cyanipennis Latreille 1817 is a junior syn of D. canadensis, while Dendroides cyanipennis Pic 1896 is an Eastern Mediterranean beast which valid name is Hemidendroides daglariensis

so very much for clarifying this for me. I was puzzled when I didn't see D. cyanipennis in BugGuide, but did note it in several of the field guides to which I've been referring.
