Flipped over. Big, round eyes for a Hydrophilid...

Berosus striatus. Keyed using Review of the family Hydrophilidae of Canada and Alaska (Coleoptera) (Smetana, 1988; Great Lakes Entomologist 28 (2), pp. 97-126).
This image offers a clear view of the metasternum, which is "distinctly trilobed posteriorly" according to the key - a distinguishing feature for the species.
