Range
Native to the Old World where it occurs from central and southern Europe and northern Africa to central Asia. Quite rare in some parts of its range, including Great Britain. Introduced to western North America to combat invasive bindweed (Convolvulus spp.).
Remarks
Introduced to fight bindweed (Convolvulus spp.). It doesn't seem very effective.
