Maybe a species of bee? - Ocyptamus dimidiatus

Maybe a species of bee? - Ocyptamus dimidiatus
Pinellas County, Florida, USA
February 26, 2015
I was in a sandy area that gets chopped quite frequently due to powerlines. This bee was very small and very active, going from one plant to another. I had a hard time following it.

I previously had submitted 2 Ocyptamas fuscipennis photos to bugguide but didn't connect those with these photos. Thank you Ken.
