after a lot of looking at this one,
I'm pretty convinced that it is S. zerene. The subspecies in that area is currently called picta, and you can see similar ones here

Very difficult to tell without seeing under side
There are at least a few that he could be. Gut reaction though, is that this is probably S. zerene or perhaps S. hesperis.
