Eusiphona mira - female

Eusiphona mira - Female
Hanover, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, USA
September 14, 2014
Size: ~3mm
Collected in a sand prairie.

There are three species in the Neartic.
E. mira is widespread and is completely black.
E. flava, known from Utah, is mostly yellow (with black dorsally on the thorax).
E. cooperi is known from NY and OH and has yellow antennae and tibiae/tarsi.

The most recent treatment of this group is Sabrowsky 1955. It can be found here: http://milichiidae.info/sites/milichiidae.info/files/Sabrosky_1955.pdf

All of the images already on bugguide seem to conform well to E. mira. Please make a new species page.
