This moth seems to like lying flat. This photo was rotated to make it easier to compare markings, but it was actually horizontal. I have a photo of a different one. It was lying flat on the ground.

Yes - Right ID…
Virtually identical to E. cuspidea, but the outer edge of the AM line of E. ardita is straight or slightly concave at its midportion, while that of E. cuspidea is evenly outwardly convex.
