Another Tiny Wasp - Alaptus
Ascension Parish, Louisiana, USA
Size: BL ~1/2mm
I know this is a lot of photos and some will have to be frassed. The depth of field is so thin that it's difficult to get the entire wasp in focus. I don't know which parts are important for identification.

Quite interesting. And how tiny!
I don't know the wasp, but wondered about the wings. Are they fuzzy like a moth fly, or is the stuff that looks like hair actually veins?

I don't know much about them except that they're difficult to photograph. This one was about 1/2 the size of the one I posted about a week ago.

I found a photo there that answered my question. They are hairlike things, but not fuzzy like a moth fly, in case anyone else is interested.
