ptinid - Megorama

ptinid - Megorama
Catalina Island, Los Angeles County, California, USA
July 3, 2014
At lights. Initial guess: drugstore beetle. But I just noticed that this beetle doesn't have the typical striated elytra as that species. Anybody have any ideas?

The beetle was unmeasured, though it was approx drugstore-beetle sized, ~3mm

Feel free to frass any or all shots that don't contribute anything.

Moved tentatively; really cool one
Moved from Beetles.

ID confirmed by B.Büche: "il s'agit d'une Megorama sans doute"

To translate for V. Belov
It's probably a Megorama. Thanks Vassili
