Hodges #9038 - White-lined Graylet - Hyperstrotia nana
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
March 15, 2015
Size: Forewing ~9mm
At outdoor light. Provides March image for Florida - isn't this too early for this species? I picked H. villificans over H. pervertens on account of the faint tan spots in the median area and the sharp angle at which the ST lines hit the inner margins. The rough appearance of the wings' surfaces and the somewhat blurry quality of the images are due to the photo having been taken without flash because the moth rested very close to the outdoor lamp.
