from B.A. Korotyaev: "undescribed sp.
"...of C. anthonomoides group; I have quite a few specimens, all from Kansas only --looks like it has a rather restricted range. I would like to examine the specimens and ask the contributor to try to find out what its host plant is."

Moved from ID Request.

Ceutorhynchus undescribed species
The only potential host record I have is one specimen from a species of Lesquerella. All of the specimens in my collection were taken from 8 April through 20 April. I have probably deposited specimens in the collections at KU and K-State.

Boris Korotyaev sends his regards
he says that his description (drafted but not yet submitted for publication) was based primarily on material collected by Dr Salsbury and curated at KU, and that he will try to expedite publication

Dr. Salsbury
The Dr. Salsbury would be me and he can drop the Dr. part. Look forward to seeing his publication.

of course he knows it was you
...but the Dr part was added by yours truly

new species
Do you know if the paper on this species was ever published and if so where?
