Explanation of Names
"One specimen, from middle Illinois, kindly given me by Mr. Maurice Schuster, of St. Louis, to whom I dedicate with pleasure this beautiful species." (Leconte 1866)
Remarks
Described from one spmn in 1866, 81 yrs later this sp. was still only known from ILL. (LeConte 1866, Wolcott 1947)...
Schaeffer (1908) record from Brownsville, TX is in error. (Leavengood pers. comm. to MAQ, 2015)
