Oak Gall Wasp - Disholcaspis lacuna

Oak Gall Wasp - Disholcaspis lacuna
mouth of Neff's Canyon, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA
March 14, 2015
Size: gall is 1cm, pupa 2 mm
I found these galls on Quercus gambelii. They are fairly common. I dissected one of the galls and it had 3 pupae in the center chamber. Does this gall have a more specific name and does that help with the gall wasp ID?

Disholcaspis?
I'm not a specialist of galls, but with a quick search, I've found that 3 species of Cynipidae in the genus Disholcaspis are common gall makers on Quercus gambelii, and the general shape fit well the pictures in the guide. As for the pupae, it doen't help as much as the gall shape and the tree species, but it is always cool to see them. It could also be a parasitoid of the gall maker which would be even cooler.
