Carpenter Ant? - Camponotus

Carpenter Ant? - Camponotus
San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA
March 20, 2015
Size: 1/2" long

Moved
Moved from Ants.

Male Camponotus.
Male Camponotus, as surmised, Walter.
No telling which, though.

Moved from ID Request.

Winged ant
The long face indicates its a male I believe. Others can probably tell you more.

Flying Ant
It might be that. It is 1/2" in length. From the top it looks like other flying ants I've seen that were smaller. Looking on-line it may be a carpenter ant.
