Note, the Texas distribution is based on Torre-Bueno's (1931) report of 2 spmns coll'ed in Austin on Jan. 1, 1929. Whitehead (1974) restricted the range of this sp. to Mexico and C. Amer. Given how variable this genus is and the fact that there are no credible reports of H. lineatus north of Mexico, I don't think we should ID any spmns from Texas based on photos...
