Leaf-footed Bug - Acanthocephala terminalis

Leaf-footed Bug - Acanthocephala terminalis
Norris City, White County, Illinois, USA
September 21, 2006
I don't know what kind of insect this is, but, to me, it looks quite similar to the one I have linked with it, only darker in color. That's why I have named it Remus. The other one is named Romulus. I have only linked them together to show their similarities, and once identified, will unlink them. Note the closeness of dates when both photographs were taken - September 17th and September 21st.

Acanthocephala sp.
The dark one is a species of Acanthocephala, perhaps A. terminalis, family Coreidae.

Leaf-Footed Bug
Both are Leaf-Footed Bugs, in the family Coreidae, among the larger and most noticeable of the true bugs.
