This is the female of the species.
The forewing markings are entirely different from those of the male!

Cool find!
Amazing how many interesting barklice are in California. Hope I can run into this one some day.

Added my only other image if that helps. Never seen such an opaque looking barklouse before. Is it a common species, just overlooked?
