I'm guessing this is the Black Pondhawk, juvenile or female? Appreciate correction or confirmation.

Fred, I'm thinking young male
Fred, I'm thinking young male Pin-tailed Pondhawk. I don't believe Black Pondhawk has been recorded in Florida, and the abdomen looks short for that species which I have photographed in Costa Rica. This looks like a lot of young male Pin-taileds I've seen in Texas.

Thanks
Appreciate it; that species is not in Dunkle's Florida guide that I have (1989), but I see he has reported it in Florida and I found other Florida photos. Added Manatee county to description.
