This caterpillar was on the ground on a rocked but little used roadway.

Oops, I mean Josiah. Do you know what instar mine is? I gather the difference in the bristles isn't significant? I just read about the nests they make. Could it be planning to make one from the tiny plants it is facing on the ground?
