Might be mites - Zoomed somewhat - Balaustium

Might be mites - Zoomed somewhat - Balaustium
Summerville, Dorchester County, South Carolina, USA
April 25, 2007
Size: 1 or 2 mm? - very small
1 of 2. Not sure what these are, I'm hoping mites. Seemed too fast for ticks. I was shooting the flower and didn't notice the "residents" until I was reviewing later. This image is the size it came out of the camera, just a crop. There were many of them, and they were moving about rapidly. Unfortunately, when I went back to shoot them on purpose, none of the shots I tried was any better, so this pair is it.
