Moved from Walshia.

Not sure Stilbosis can be eliminated. There are several species. There may be other genera as well.

Probably not W. miscecolorella
There at least 11 BINs associated with W. miscecolorella at BOLD. They are now listed on the Info page. One of the BINs has an example which approaches yours. I would assume that some of the BINs are close enough that they may be the same species but most are not. Your's does not match the original description. The link is on the info page. I'm not sure if any of these should be placed to species.

.
Sorry. I agree, they are quite confusing and do not necessarily look the same. I think I still have the specimen and will send to BOLD to see what happens.

That won't work
Sending a sample to BOLD will not help. It will get identified as Walshia or W. miscecolorella. If it is identified as W. miscecolorella, you can't be be sure since they seem to identify everything as that species. You would need to have a male and get it dissected. Then, if you sent it to BOLD, you could tell them the species. That would be very helpful.

.
I am sorry Steve. I do not have anyone to do dissections and I don't think I could tell a male from a female in this tiny species. I guess I can't be much help here, but I will remember this for the future.
