broad-headed bug - Darmistus crassicornis

broad-headed bug - Darmistus crassicornis
Austin, Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, Travis County, Texas, USA
April 9, 2015
Size: about 10 mm
This might be Darmistus crassicornis. The location would be in line with references and a description that I found in a Spanish article from Mexico (amazing what one can find through Google books) mentions the red color on the limbs and antennae. At least I think that's what it said... my Spanish is, well, really terrible.
