Moth larva? - Proserpinus lucidus

Moth larva? - Proserpinus lucidus
Pinnacles National Park, San Benito or Monterey County, California, USA
April 19, 2015
Size: approx 2.25"
Found on ground so no idea of host plant. Habitat was gray pine forest. Plants in vicinity included Violas, Clarkias, Collinsias.

Moved from ID Request.

Proserpinus lucidus
I'm pretty sure this is Proserpinus lucidus. Both P. lucidus and P. clarkiae occur at Pinnacles, but this one's pattern looks like lucidus to me.

One of the Proserpinus

Someone may be able to say which one based on timing and your location
