For several days, I saw these insects in low vegetation, blackberries and salmonberries.

Onycholyda sitkensis (Kincaid). Larvae live and feed in rolled leaf edges of Rubus spp.

I have been hesitant to explore rolled leaf edges because, when doing so, I have hurt larva in the past. It is very enlightening to understand that this is one of the creatures who may be doing the rolling. Thanks!
