I found this caterpiller was found in a flower bed during the day around 1030 am resting at the very top of the flower stalks along with several others. It is about 3 inches in length.

Hyles lineata
These larva will turn into a White-lined Sphinx moths which look like this. You have photographs of three different individuals, and although they are all the same species, they should probably be submitted separate sightings.
