Found on Purisima manzanita (Arctostaphylos purissima) in sandy Burton Mesa chaparral habitat

M.D. Schwartz says,
"probably Orange-colored oak-associated western genus group of Phylini but not Aurantiocoris cuneotinctus (Van Duzee, 1915)."

I don't know if it has any bearing on ID, but so far of these that I've seen have been on manzanita; I've yet to see them on the oaks.
