Split-eyed - Amphigonalia severini

Split-eyed - Amphigonalia severini
Castel Hot Springs, Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
April 19, 2015
Size: ~ 4mm
Host plant was Ambrosia ambrosioides. The curious feature of this leafhopper is the divided pigment areas of the eyes. I looked for others with this on bg and eventually found that this hopper resembles Neokolla uhleri and that several Neokolla share the split-eye trait.

Moved tentatively
