Cremastocheilus mating on sand dunes
DeeDee,

If you can return to the sand dune area at the Park, you should find more Cremastocheilus mating in the spring. The females land and burrow just under the sand and the males search the surface of the sand attracted by a pheromone emitted by the female. After locating a female, the males burrow down below the sand and mate. If you search carefully among the sand dunes, you will find a mating aggregation. Please let me know if you succeed.
