For future reference...
...please be sure to crop your pics as close to "just the bug" as possible. Only you and the editors have the ability to view the full-size image. Everyone else is left looking at a little bug in a lot of unnecessary background. :)

"Dark Edged Bee Fly" is simply another common name for Bombylius major, also known as the Greater Bee Fly.
