Mark Dreiling's photo #
341803, BOLD
MDOK-1109, was formerly posted at MPG as
Pseudexentera spoliana following the determination at BOLD. All specimens from north of Mexico in
BOLD:AAA3121 form a branch representing
hodsoni. The
spoliana identifications in this BIN appear to have been based on two USNM specimens, DNA-ATBI-6281 and DNA-ATBI-6282, which somehow were mislabeled at BOLD but have since been confirmed as
hodsoni. True
spoliana is gray with the entire basal area shaded. It does not typically have the distinct dark wedge shaped subbasal fascia on the dorsum of
hodsoni.
