Bee or other? - Andrena

Bee or other? - Andrena
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
May 1, 2015
Appears every spring making hundreds of holes in the garden.
Have been told to exterminate but don't want to do anything if these are bees or other pollenators
but concerned if they are destructive, we have a big problem. Also, quite a few ants in the area.

Moved

Andrena male, likely dunningi
Harmless and beneficial

Most definitely a bee :)
Dr. Ascher, our bee expert, will be able to tell you what kind.

Bee or other?
Thanks for the quick response, most appreciated
Will wait to hear if they are of concern or we should just let them do their thing.
Thanks so much
