Ladybirds M&F on male pine cones - Mulsantina picta - Male Female
6 miles NW Lyons, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
May 2, 2015
Size: BL ~ 5 - 5.5mm
This male and female were on a cluster of male Ponderosa Pine cones, elevation ~ 6400'. They resemble other ladybirds in some respects, but I can't seem to find one with all of their traits. Any help with their ID is most appreciated.

Painted Lady Beetle
Thanks so much for the ID of the Painted Lady Beetle. And its boreal habitat fits in so well with our Ponderosas. Your help is much appreciated.
