6103.99 - Exelastis pumilio
Identified by Debbie Matthews, this belongs to a genus not previously included in the Hodges (1983) Checklist. Debbie lists on her website three species for that genus in North America. The genus follow Trichoptilus in her list, and I have assigned for use at MPG a provisional number so that it will appear there in a numerical sort.

Thanks Bob
Thanks for getting Debbie's help on these Pterophoridae images. It seems like 50% of the time I try to narrow an ID down with this group it's little better than a shot in the dark without the specimen in hand.

Nice
It is a neat little moth, isn't it Jeff?
I haven't heard back about my photo either.
