Columbine Sawfly larva, feeding - Pristiphora rufipes
Coldwater Creek Road, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA

May 10, 2015: collected eggs on Columbine, Aquilegia canadensis
May 11, 2015: collected fresh Columbine as host plant for the larvae that emerged from the eggs
May 12, 2015: looking closely at the freshly collected Columbine found a third tiny sawfly larva (previous sawfly larva )
The larva appears to be near the emergent cell on the leaf
