Looking back through old pictures. My feeble attempt at ID'ing this guy thinks it is in the Family Erebidae

A little hard to tell from this angle and without a hind wing, but with those stark white legs, I believe it is a dark . With the long nose and dark color I can see how you might think Erebidae but I am pretty familiar with this species and it's different looks. Scroll through the images as see if you agree.

 
I believe in you
No doubt about the white legs. There were several in there that were close look-alike. Too bad the hind wing isn't showing, I believe in you guys.
