A wasp? - Lanugo cestus

A wasp? - Lanugo cestus
Henrico County, Virginia, USA
May 14, 2015
At first glance I thought this was a Scorpion Fly based on its wings and then realized it definitely wasn't. A thread-waisted wasp of some kind? I checked guides and photos online with no success. Thank you for any help.

Moved
Moved from Compsocryptus or Lanugo males.

Compsocryptus is excluded by range. Given the ferruginous coxae and trochanters, plus distinctly banded wings, this should end up being the male of C. cestus.

Cryptini (male)…
It's difficult separating males of Lanugo from Compsocryptus as they are very similar in appearance.

See reference here.

An ichneumonid wasp
Something in the tribe Cryptini perhaps.

Outside my field of study so wait for others.
