Neotridactylus apicialis and Ellipes minuta are the only species that range into Canada, but I can't see the diagnostic features.

 
Diagnostic features ?
What are the diagnostic features. Do we need photo with a different angle ?

 
The usual diagnostic features are on the hind tibiae, which tend to be tucked underneath the huge hind femora, as in this one.

Some comments by David Ferguson on diagnostic coloration on this image are interesting. I lean toward N. apicalis, but I have no firsthand experience with this group.

 
Tridactylidae sp
Unfortunately I have no photo showing the hind tibiae correctly. So this insect will remain a tridactylidae sp. Thanks for your time !
