Proctacanthus rufus? - Proctacanthus rufus - male

Proctacanthus rufus? - Proctacanthus rufus - Male
Pedernales Falls State Park, Blanco County, Texas, USA
May 19, 2015
I asked Herschel Raney to take a look at this robber for me. He said "Proctacanthus rufus or hinei. Likely rufus on that clear water." There are not a great many images of P. rufus on BG so I thought I would go ahead and post this. The bug was shot on the sandy banks of the clear flowing Pedernales River.
