Trying to identify this wasp, bee or whatever.

Pachodynerus erynnis (FL)
This genus looks quite similar to Euodynerus. The species is quite common in FL.

Wasp.
This is a mason wasp in the family Vespidae, subfamily Eumeninae. It is probably a male (white or yellow 'face') in the genus Euodynerus, many species of which have a 'chunky' appearance like this. He is incapable of stinging; the solitary females dispatch fair numbers of caterpillars which they store in nests for their offspring.
