Not a Trapdoor Spider (dorsal) - Plectreurys - male

Not a Trapdoor Spider (dorsal) - Plectreurys - Male
Tonopah Desert, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
April 13, 2015
Size: 12mm body - 25mm legs
These are close up images of a Spider that I believe is an adult male Primitive Hunting Spider, Plectreurys tristis. I'm including extra shots of him in bright sunlight and in the shade, to help other people when comparing images.
I'm not sure about the geographic range of the other species, but most of them are not known to live in Arizona and P. tristis is known to live in this area.
Here is a link to the ID source document on the spider family Plectreuridae that I used, from the American Museum of Natural History (PDF, 54 pages - dated 1958): AMNH Digital Library - The Spider Family Plectreuridea
Here is a link to his video (3.5min. duration): ♂ Primitive Hunting Spider - Species?
Full Size Image: Click Here
NOTE: Though his coloring is mostly all-black, some other things can be seen. Slightly paler, grayish or off-white spots, on the ventral side of the leg joints are visible in some views.
Also, he has an obvious, thick grey stripe, on the top front, middle of his abdomen. The carapace is smooth and shiny near the eyes and the rest of it is more matted, but it's almost hairless and more shiny than the abdomen.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. I think you're probably correct. However, we need to find some information on those other species listed on the genus info page... that aren't mentioned on that old reference.

Thanks!
Lynette, I expected that it will be a long road to the species page, but it's great when professionals like you can help me out! The females of the genus will likely remain impossible to place, even with microscope views. Today I will edit in some detailed notes to the texts and whenever I finish the video, he will become a YouTube Star! Then I will add a link into this image. Thanks for helping!

you're welcome
You might consider getting in contact with a local expert that can ID your spiders to species for you. It was a great learning experience for me to live close to Rod Crawford while I was in WA. Maybe there is someone in your area that could help you out?
