Snail Eating Ground Beetle - Scaphinotus cordatus

Snail Eating Ground Beetle - Scaphinotus cordatus
Santa Teresa County Park, Santa Clara County, California, USA
June 12, 2011

Moved
Moved from Scaphinotus.

I think we're looking at Scaphinotus cordatus with the shiny pronotum, large elytral punctures, seemingly small size(at least compared to other California Scaphinotus) and locality.
