Well, you said I should try new habitats. So how about Kansas? There are a lot of these bad boys out and about. Know them?

I was a bit rushed while there, but will surely get better shots next time. There are lots of these guys around, plus other interesting insects we don't have in California, particularly now.

So, back to watered botanic gardens of my homeland...
