Lep larva, dorsal - Lithophane

Lep larva, dorsal - Lithophane
Backbone State Park, Delaware County, Iowa, USA
May 24, 2015
Size: 9 mm
and the very next day it looks different.
(Plus I found a tiny sawfly larva in the rearing jar.)

Thanks J&J as to Lithophane. M. Keene says: "A lot of them are green like this when they're very small. Most likely are the common, highly predatory ones like L. antennata and L. bethunei."
