Darner in Forest - Basiaeschna janata - female

Darner in Forest - Basiaeschna janata - Female
Amesbury Town Forest, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
May 14, 2015
At first i found a Lance-tipped image in Bug Guide that seemed a dead ringer, but then the habitat and the date didn't give, so now I'm leaning towards Shadow Darner female. Found along forest path mid-May, near spring and swampy area. cleared power line strip about 100 yards away, and some vernal pools about 1/4 mile away. Since this specimen must be quite young, is there significant color change in these species? Would like confirmation or correction.
