Encampment, Carbon County, Wyoming, USA
May 25, 2015
Size: about 1/4 inch long
In sagebrush site near the top of a hill at about 8200 feet elevation. Time of day was early afternoon. Insect was clinging to the face of a native, low-growing early wildflower, Tetraneuris acaulis. Windy, cool, overcast conditions appear to have made it sluggish.
