Metacyrba punctata - female

Metacyrba punctata - Female
Resaca de la Palm SP, Cameron County, Texas, USA
November 8, 2014
I'm adding these because there are relatively few images of M. punctata here and to date the species is known in our area only from Florida and Texas. While Edwards (2005) considers the Florida population to be introduced and established, an historical record by Davis (1934) and a minimum of 6 individuals from two different locations in Cameron Co., Texas between 2012 - 2014 may indicate that the Texas population is native and consists of northern representatives of this largely Mexican species.
