Tiny Psyllid - Baeoalitriozus diospyri - female

Tiny Psyllid - Baeoalitriozus diospyri - Female
Granny's Acres Conservation Area, Benton County, Missouri, USA
May 28, 2015
I thought these were tiny ants until I got home and enlarged the images on the computer. They were on a shrubby tree, of which I am not sure of the species yet. Confirmed it was on persimmon. :-)

Well cool!
I think they were on persimmon! I was going on abdomen shape...but the antennae looked wrong. Never thought about psyllids!

The
Upper left one did appear to have a drop of honey dew on the tip of the abdomen.

Persimmon tree?
Suspecting Baeoalitriozus diospyri based on glossy black color, pubescent dorsum, and long wings with unique venation (especially the large marginal cell). These are both females.

not really... both the wings and the head are very unwaspy...
cool bugs, Betsy -- Chris Mallory is plowing thru BG psyllid section like there's no tomorrow, hope he figures out this one soon, but please try to provide host data
