. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Lisa!
Species of Chalcis are parasitoids of soldier fly (Stratiomyiidae) larvae, which is why you found this on a creek bank.
It differs from Conura in some minute details, including a tiny or absent mesotibial spur, densely setose mesocoxae, and a more protruded ovipositor.
